WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO





PRESIDENT - JOYCE BEEDIE
TERM EXPIRES 2025



The President oversees all business of the society and is present at all meetings and events. The President sits on all committees appointed by the Board of Directors and is responsible for overseeing the recording and archiving of all business records.



VICE-PRESIDENT - PATSY MILLER
TERM EXPIRES 2025



The Vice-President presides in the absence of the President and serves as Program Chair overseeing all programs and events sponsored by the society.



SECRETARY - BONNIE PARDIKE
TERM EXPIRES 2025



The Secretary is present at all business meetings and responsible for keeping all records, except those of the treasurer, of the society under the direction of the Board of Directors.



TREASURER - JOYCE BEEDIE
TERM EXPIRES 2025



The Treasurer is required to collect payments to the society and pay all the debt obligations maintain all financial records file all state and federal taxes and do this with approval and oversight of the Board of Directors. In June of each year the treasurer shall provide a full years' accounting of all income and expenses.

The Trustees shall attend all board meetings and assist the Board of Directors in the business of the society.

BONNIE PARDIKE - MEMBERSHIP



All Committee Chairs are appointed by the Board of Directors and are responsible for the business of their committee. They serve at the pleasure of the Board of Directors and do not have a term of service.



These people share the responsibility of fulfilling the mission of the society and guide the VBRGS forward using sound business practices while adhering to the society's bylaws.
They oversee the Van Buren Regional Genealogical Society Genealogy Room and its genealogy and history collection at the Hartford Public Library and encourage genealogy studies.
